Daisy Nail Art

I love daisies. They are adorable, and so easy to create. I use a bobby pin as a dotting tool and white and yellow polish. First, I make 6 white dots, one in the middle and five surrounding it. After letting them dry, I add yellow on top of the middle dot to create the yellow centre. Check it out below!

So what do you think, will you try it out?

Cuba Nails

Hello all!

I am just getting home from my trip to Cuba this past week and wanted to share some new colours I picked up before and wore on my trip.

The first one is Essie Turquoise & Caicos. This is not a new colour, I actually picked it up back in the summer, but I thought it would match the scenery in Cuba. I sure was right! My first swim in the ocean and my nails matched the water perfectly! It is a beautiful green-blue with a jelly like base.

I really like this colour, there is only one downside. It takes at least 3 coats to even out, and I usually have to do 4.

I then decided to add some gold glitter to the tips when I got a chip a few days later. I used China Glaze Blonde Bombshell, a new glitter I picked up a few weeks ago.

Here is Blonde Bombshell on it's own, 2 layers.

Great gold glitter, small and medium sized glitters in it. I know I will be using this polish a lot!

The next colour I wore was Nails by Top Shop in War Paint. This was my first experience with Top Shop nail polish and I was impressed. It went on nice and smooth and covered in 2 coats. This colour is a nice coral, perfect for my toes all week as well.

My last colour of the week was butter London in Snog. I couldn't resist buying this polish when I went into Holt Renfrew last week. The name it's self is super cute, and the colour is such a nice bright pink! The formula is great, as I expected from butter London. Smooth and covered in 2 coats.

So there you have it, all of my vacation nails. The trip was great, so happy to be able to take some time off and spend it with my family. Lots of swimming, tanning and of course, eating!

Til next time!

Nail Art - New Design

I wanted to show off a manicure I created earlier today. I bought some nail gems the other day at Walmart, and I was experimenting with them. I also bought some new turquoise glitter Stripe Rite and wanted to test it out. For this manicure I also used China Glaze in Re-Fresh Mint and Seche Vite top coat.

Sorry about my cuticles!

I really like this manicure! It reminds me of something you could get at a nail salon, but with funkier colours ;)

What do you think? Have you ever used nail bling before? I really like it!

Ring and Blue Manicure

I wanted to show off a cute ring I got for Christmas this year. It is handmade glass and I love it! I also did a blue manicure to go with it. I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Calypso Blue and Revlon Nail Polish in Blue Mosaic. These are two of my favourite blue polishes!

So there is the ring (SO CUTE!) and my quick manicure!

Blue is one of my favourite colours to wear on my nails, what are yours?

Hunger Games Nail Polish Line Preview

I love The Hunger Games series. In fact, I am reading them again right now before the movie comes out in March. So, when I heard that China Glaze was possibly going to do a collection based on the movie, I was super pumped! Today I was browsing a few of my favourite blogs and found this article from Vampy Varnish that has the confirmed colours and names of the polishes.

I think I am most excited about Fast Track, Stone Cold, Agro, Smoke and Ashes, Electrify and Luxe and Lush. I know Luxe and Lush was originally thought to represent the dress Katniss wears for her interview, but now it represents District 1 (Luxury). Each polish represents a District, you can see that list from All Lacquered Up, another favourite blog.

Well, are you as excited as me? I know I will be at my local Sally's when this collection is released on March 1st bright and early!
